1- Hello Alexis, can you please tell us a bit about you?
I was born in Nice, France, I have traveled the world since my youngest age. I felt in love with photography when I was in Borneo, in Indonesia, I was 16 by the time. I quitted school at 18, and worked on photography ever since!
2- What are your focus areas and why?
I focus a lot on communication and post processing, communication is what helps me gather beautiful expressions from my couples, post processing allows me to make my images pop.
3- What influences your work? What makes you want to wake up every morning?
Life! Amazing people around me are a huge source of inspiration, I love hearing people’s story. My motivation in life is to help others, whether it’s in business and marketing, or helping them feel better in their own skin by viewing a nicer version of themselves.
4- With the Camera Phones era, what are the new rules of a professional photographer?
Great question! I believe that camera phones are amazing, in fact, I often use one. To my mind, it doesn’t have any impact on our work, as professionals.
5- Where do you think you are making an impact?
When I see the bride and groom cry, or when I get a hug from a client that tells me that she or he feels much better after seeing him or herself in my pictures.
6- Can you tell us more about your photography style?
In order to please my clients, I have to make a consistent style of images, most of them are backlight using strobes. When it comes down to my personal favorite style, I would say, adventure photography in general! Anything that’s gonna requires a certain amount of efforts to be captured.
7- Where do see yourself in the next 5 years?
Running a company that has nothing to do with photography, but still, and forever helping others.
8- What can you tell young photographers who are pursuing their dreams job?
Don’t listen to what others say, focus on your work, keep working on your consistency, and offer more value than anyone else.
9- What are you most excited about at the moment?
Travelling ! I get more and more offers from worldwide clients, and it’s a pleasure to travel the world while pleasing others.
