1. Hello Tommy, can you please tell us a bit about you?
I’m 31 years old and I live in Fresno, CA. Married and have an 11-year-old son. I dropped out of college to focus on music and to find a career that I could stand to support my family at the same time. Worked for about 15 different people until I realized I needed to create my own income and business. Did some Uber driving, Airbnb renting and got involved with a few startups. Now I’m heavily interested in cryptocurrency and have started to build a rideshare company called Chasyr.

2. What are your focus areas and why?
blockchain, cryptocurrency and the sharing economy. nowadays everyone knows someone who works off of an app on their phone. If you don’t know anyone driving for Uber or renting out their place on Airbnb then you must be stuck in the year 2002. Simply stated, blockchain and cryptocurrency are the future and as an entrepreneur, it’s better to be about innovation than to go against it.

3. What influences your work? What makes you want to wake up every morning?
When opportunity shows itself then I’m immediately influenced to take it. If it’s something I don’t understand I learn it and just go from there. I guess I’m just self-motivated. I wake up excited for the day ahead for the same reason I don’t want to sleep in the first place. To achieve goals and create a better place to wake up in every day. Life is too short to not like your situation so as long as I’m making mine and my family’s better every day, then I am living.

4. What should people expect when meeting you in person?
I smile a lot, it weird but yeah that’s probably the first thing they would notice. After that, it’s usually a feeling as if we’ve been best buds since kindergarten. I really get along with everyone I meet and can relate to them somehow. It is kinda funny but people tell me that I have more stories about my life and things I’ve experienced than most 65-year-olds do.

5. Where do you think you are making an impact?
I’m really trying to make an impact in the sharing economy by showing others the power of blockchain technology. I feel like I’ve been doing this on a smaller scale with friends and family mostly, but since word has gotten out about Chasyr I see the scale getting bigger.

6. Can you tell us more about CHASYR?
Chasyr is a ridesharing startup that uses blockchain technology to give the users the opportunity to be more than just that. The blockchain side of it will really make it self-sustainable and the first of its kind compared to all other ridesharing startups. It’s something I am very passionate about and know that it can really be a game changer once more people hear about it. In the end, it will be up to the people, some may want to use something innovative and some will not care.

7. Where do see yourself in the next 5 years?
I can really see myself doing what I’m doing now except with more knowledge and hopefully driving a better car. I usually prefer to see myself a few months ahead achieving small goals but in 5 years I will definitely be somewhere talking about Chasyr and any other companies I end up creating.

8. What can you tell young entrepreneurs who are pursuing their dreams?
Without entrepreneurs, the world would be a boring place. Do your thing and don’t stop until you achieve what you want. Make the world interesting and keep it full of your creations. Oh and definitely get into blockchain technology and read Swarmwise.

9. What are you most excited about at the moment?
Chasyr, Swarm City, and what’s for dinner.
