1- Hello Troy, can you please tell us a bit about yourself?
Sure, I’m a tax and business consultant located in the Kansas City area. I have more than a decade’s worth of experience helping businesses develop tax strategies to deal with the IRS and use investments to offset income.

2- What are your business focus areas and why?
IRS issues, taxation and tax law are focus areas for me and my firm.

3- How do you describe your journey as a business consultant in few words?
It’s been ‘taxing’. Okay, that was a bad pun! It’s been interesting. There is so much to know about tax code and the IRS. Many businesses that owe back taxes need a strategy to deal with all the hassles.

4- Where do you think you are making an impact?
We are making a great impact to the wallets and bank accounts of our clients, who are benefiting from real professional tax advice.

5- What are some things that most start-up don’t know about tax law?
Many start up’s don’t know that maxing out a 401(k) is a good idea. Pay yourself as much as possible in that fashion. It is usually not an asset that can be touched if the company goes bankrupt. Food for thought. Also, in some states (like Kansas), pass-through corporations don’t pay state income tax.

6- What advice can you share with entrepreneurs when it comes to start-ups taxes?
Hire. A. Professional!

7- The Business Consulting industry is very changing, where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
Doing the same thing I do now. Troy D. Renkemeyer will be doing the very same thing 5, 10 and even 15 years from now. Providing tax and business advice to entrepreneurs.

8- What were some of the biggest challenges you encountered while working as a business consultant?
Dealing with clients who want things to happen “now”. Creating a tax strategy takes time.

9- What are you most excited about at the moment?
I’m excited about the future of our firm, we have some great employees who are helping us make a difference in the business world.

10- The last Word or final thoughts?
You can always contact me, Troy D. Renkemeyer, with any business or tax issues that your company is facing! I am here to serve…

You may find that the cost of maintaining a co-operative is
more than for a condominium as you will have to pay
for all expenses relating to shared spaces.
