Do you have enough content posted on your blog? You might think you do, but you probably don’t.

Did you know that posting more than 16 times per month generates the most traffic? Posting every other day can provide you with increased indexed traffic and leads in the hundreds.

That’s great, but how in the world are you supposed to find time to post that much content!

No matter how much time you have, you can find ways to increase the amount of content you post to your blog. These tips will help you do just that without compromising the quality of the content you post.

1- Create a Blogging Schedule

For some people, especially novice bloggers who post in their spare time, it’s a scheduling issue. Without a schedule, it’s really easy to put off that post day after day, and before you know it, the week has gone by and you haven’t posted anything.

A blog schedule can help you remedy that problem.

Choose a blog schedule that works for you, and stick to it. You may not have time to post a new blog every other day, but by penciling in time for your blog, you might be able to create one or two extra blogs every week. Not only will the additional articles make it easier for people to find you on the internet, regular posting will encourage people to check your blog regularly.

2- Get Other People to Write for Your Blog

There are only so many hours in a day. If you simply can’t find the time to write more blog content, leave it up to someone else.

Consider outsourcing your blog articles by hiring someone to write them for you. If you hire a ghostwriter, you can continue posting the articles under your name.

If you don’t have the funds to pay someone else to create content for your blog, consider guest blogging instead. Ask readers or reach out to other bloggers in your niche who might be willing to provide you with content for free in exchange for the exposure.

3- Rework Existing Content

If you have an established blog, you may not have to focus all your efforts on creating brand-new content. Instead, consider revisiting old content.

Reworking existing blog content does take some finesse. You can’t just create a duplicate of the content on your site, unless you want to be punished by Google.

A few ideas for reworking your existing content include:

  • Adding additional information that wasn’t available when the blog was first published
  • Create a new blog using the comments from an old topic
  • Add and update the links in the content
  • Create listicles from the existing articles on your blog

And of course, don’t forget to promote old posts on social media. It’s a great way to drive more traffic to your site without having to post anything new!

4- Break up the Content

It’s true that longer blog posts are better than shorter posts. Google indexes large chunks of text more quickly, and longer content is perceived as providing more value to the reader.

However, what Google considers long-enough content might not be what you think.

It is recommended that blog posts are at least 300 words. Between 700 and 800 words is a good goal to reach for.

If you’re someone who regularly likes to create blog content that is 1,000 words or more, consider breaking up the content and creating a few smaller posts instead. It enables you to use a single piece of content to post multiple times a week, all without actually having to create more content.

5- Interview Someone

Sometimes bloggers get stuck because they don’t know what to write about. A great way to get out of that rut is to interview someone.

Interview someone in your industry or someone you admire. You can also interview customers or readers. Just make sure you create questions that will provide you with interesting answers.

Consider types of interviews like:

  • Inspirational stories
  • Predictions or trends
  • Expert guides
  • Case studies and reviews
  • Personal profiles
  • Product, service, or book reviews

Blogging can be a lot of fun, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t a lot of work. If you want people to notice your blog, and if you want them to keep coming back for more, you need to create more content. Just make sure you follow these tips so you can create valuable content that everyone wants to read.
