1. Hello Joe, can you please tell us a bit about you?

Sure I’m Joe I’m 28 and I represent Social Media Group; a top-rated full-service multimedia agency headquartered in Washington DC and Los Angeles. I have experience in the email, social media, and online marketing fields.

2. What are your focus areas and why?

Our main focus is to shed light on the many aspects of online marketing and emphasize on the tasks that are executed behind the scenes of effective social media marketing. A lot of clients who used services prior to ours tell us that they wanted more than an agency that just posts content and focuses on increasing followers, they need conversions and that’s something we pride ourselves in providing.

3. What influences your work? What makes you want to wake up every morning?

When I was younger a mentor of mine told me about something called a “sweet spot”. It’s the spot between what you’re good at, what you enjoy doing, and what people are willing you to pay for. He told me that once you find that sweet spot to indefinitely grow and learn every day to increase my value in that particular field. So every morning I research new innovations in my field to stay ahead of the cutting edge. I also encourage my teammates to do the same.

4. You are very good at dealing with millennials; tell us about your experience?

One thing I’ve noticed about myself (being a millennial) and A/B testing the stickiness of content on social media is that the fundamentals of advertising are still applicable to today’s demographic but only if executed in unconventional ways. Millennial’s aren’t impressed with your traditional commercials, billboards, or magazine promotions. In a very noisy arena like social media, advertising needs to be eye-catching, clear, and effective.

5. Where do you think you are making an impact?

Online marketing by way of social media is by far the biggest means of advertising to date. One thing a lot of big corporations don’t know is that the opportunity of becoming the top innovators and pioneers of this marketplace is wide open, and theirs for the taking. Social Millennial Group takes that opportunity and power and puts it in their hands. Nothing compares to the feeling of watching a client’s face light up when they see that their company is still relevant.

6. Your Twitter account is verified and you have some big names as followers, what is the secret?

Prior to our verification, we searched high and low to find the methodology to getting our verified only to find out that Twitter is very arbitrary with that particular process. In short, I think that staying active and consistent on Twitter is the trick to getting verified.

7. Where do you see it in the next 5 years?

Big. Huge. Major. We have our eyes set on a lot of big corporations that we’d love in our portfolio. So in 5 years, I can see us implementing our expertise and innovative approach to helping them and their online marketing strategy.

8. What can you tell young people who are pursuing their dreams?

Lock on to your end-goals, learn and understand your thought-patterns, and never settle. Faith is believing in the things you can’t see. Skyscrapers were ideas before they were buildings.

9. What are you most excited about at the moment?

The clients we’re working with!

10. The last word or final thoughts?

Thanks for the opportunity guys! Great questions, looking forward to working again so
