Interview with Marc Normandeau, CTO & Co-Founder of Hempgenix CBD Skin Care and CosPro Labs Manufacturing

1- Hello Marc, can you please tell us a bit about you?
I have been online marketing since 1999 and owned several successful SEO and web design companies since then, on still going strong. I was looking to partner up for past 5 years with a manufacturing facility to start a brand. I was able to find a manufacturer that was ready to get into the CBD Oil niche and form a new division of their company specifically for CBD. They have focused on Private Label Skin Care for past 16 years so this was a perfect niche of CBD since no one was making any actual skin care and even so ones that have come to the skin care niche are not very good quality skin care nor are they using quality USA CBD Oil in their products. The partnership formed our two companies and we had a total package of what we both needed to make a successful company that offered medicinal quality products.

2- What are your focus areas and why?
My focus areas are online and offline marketing. I market every angle and aspect of the Hempgenix Brand and CosPro Labs Names. With Online SEO, PPC, Design, Infographics and offline with our sales team broker cases, pamphlets, brochures and more. This is my specialty and manufacturer and formulation are not. This is why my partner and I have such a great working relationship. I do my thing he does him and it works perfectly. We trust each other on getting things done and timely.

3- What influences your work? What makes you want to wake up every morning?
Other Online marketers success and failures are what drives me. Looking at ways to grow and rank our websites is what drives me. I like the competition with others and Google itself and look at it as a chess match. Besides the competition being able to provide for my family consistently drives me to work harder to offer them a better lifestyle than if I had a 9-5 job.

4- What should people expect when meeting you in person?
I’m definitely the “basement” rat computer geek, but when it comes to people definitely on the outgoing and friendly side. I like learning about people and what they love to do. People definitely know my passion for what I do when they are around me.

5- Where do you think you are making an impact?
We are definitely making an impact to thousands of people with skin disorders and medical conditions and we get feedback and reviews daily on customers and success stories. Just providing a product that actually is medical and works make me a product to market and own the company.

6- Can you tell us more about Hempgenix?
Hempgenix is long from stopping new innovative products and ideas. We try and come out with at least 2 new products every month. One product for our skin care line and 1 product to broaden our market presence to help various medicinal conditions. Hempgenix offers the largest functional line of CBD Skin Care products and the largest line of products period by a single company in the CBD niche. We currently have 50 products selling with 20 formulations on the books as of July to launch by the end of the year. We use only 100% USA CBD oils and Isolates in our products and manufacturer everything in our network company of manufacturing facilities in the Miami area. 100% USA Made.

7- Where do see yourself in the next 5 years?
Helping develop new and innovative products for Hempgenix and sister companies we will be bringing out in the future as well as some patents and trademarks we are working on. Hopefully working from a cabin in South Dakota and only managing a team of marketing employees.

8- What can you tell young entrepreneurs who are pursuing their dreams?
You will fail. You will fail more than once. The point is to always keep going. This is not an easy way to live as a somewhat “stable” 9-5 job. There are good years and bad years being an entrepreneur, but when you finally get your thing the good cancels out all the bad years. Once you get your “thing” make sure you have mentors in the industry and mentors that have been in your spot financially as well to be able to ground you and develop a financial plan so that when the good is good the bad isn’t so bad if it’s taken away.

9- What are you most excited about at the moment?
The growth and the science of the CBD oil and how many medical conditions we are seeing it being able to help people. We are excited to see what the other cannabinoids will offer medically as well as more studies of them come out.

10- The last word or final thoughts?
Don’t follow people as an entrepreneur, take the good and the bad and combine it into your own way of working the system to get results. There is not 1 way to do any type of business. Find the way no one has done or thought of with all the success and failure ways of others and capitalize on those for your own.
