Interview with Marwan Ghazi, Digital Strategist, Google Adwords & Analytics Certified

1- Hello Marwan, can you please tell us a bit about yourself?
Hi there! I’m a strategist for digital Marketing and Advertising. I work with: trends, insights and analytics to create optimum campaigns that generate the highest ROI possible.

2- What are your focus areas and why?
My focus areas are two:
– Corporates (B2C and B2C)
– Advertising agencies

3- What influences your work? What makes you want to wake up every morning?
People! The science of people and social dynamics. It’s what takes most of my thinking every single day. Finding what makes people tick is what drives me and wake me up every morning!

4- What is your primary focus in terms of self-developments at the moment?
I take self-development seriously. I follow some of the great leaders in the advertising industry and me consistently on online learning websites to keep myself well trained, certified and knowledgeable with the latest industry standards.

5- Where do you think you are making an impact?
I have successfully made several impacts in advertising. And I can’t wait to go back there again as I have a lot more to deliver.

6- Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
Holding a critical position as a strategist in any famous and large organisation that would allow me to produce outstanding work.

7- What are some things that most people don’t know about your job?
Wow! Everything! Even the people in my own workplace have no idea what I do until I explain it to them.

8- What can you tell young people who are pursuing their dreams?
Be thick skinned. The marketing and advertising industries are tough. And in order to get a job, or maintaining a job, you need to be thick-skinned and pursue what you want and not let anyone make you feel down.

9- What are you most excited about at the moment?
I’m looking at much big-data software at the moment and I’m mind blown by one of them. So I’m taking courses to train on it well.

10- The last word or final thoughts?
The industry is living its 2nd boom in e-Commerce. And this one is going to last decades or maybe more. Being a strategist is a lonely road, but it has its rewards.
