Interview with Adriel, Co-Founder of A.Hi

1- Hello Adriel, can you tell us a bit about yourself
My partner and I are both web developers for an e-commerce company, which is where we met. We love developing tools and helping people achieve their goals. I joined the company I work for because it posed new challenges and I got the chance to see how a growing business works. We built tools similar to the ones included with our service for the company. With the direction of the CEO, it increased the company revenue by $1million. In the process of building and implementing our software, we learned how to turn web traffic into sales and we want to share what we have learned with others. Many people start their companies with all of their goals in mind. We want to help on their journey to success.

2- How would you describe “A.Hi” in under few words?
A.Hi gives e-commerce websites the ability to react to customers at every action they take. For example, if a customer looks at a purse on an e-commerce website that would be considered an action. Since we know they are interested in purses on the home page instead of seeing a generic banner they could then see a 10% coupon on all purses. Or if their customer makes it to the checkout page, when they purchase the product, we can send out a thank you email for their purchase. If they decide not to purchase the product, we will then send out an abandoned cart email, with a discount, asking if they would like to come back to make a purchase. These are only a few examples of the many actions customers can take, on your website, in order for you to give them the best and most compelling user experience possible.

3- What are your focus areas and why?
Our focus at A.Hi is to help entrepreneurs and businesses achieve their goals and grow their business. We do this by providing tools that are cost effective user-friendly. Our newest tool gives you the power to control how your site reacts to your customers in order to keep them coming back for more.

4- How do you differentiate yourselves from your competitors?
At A.Hi we offer our service at a level that no other company can match. We are the best at action to reaction marketing for e-commerce websites and we offer many other tools beyond that. We are constantly making new tools because we want to see entrepreneurs and businesses succeed. We have made plans for businesses at every level by making a start-up plan because we don’t believe you should require a massive budget in order to have the tools it takes to succeed. That is why we are offering our service free for 14-days with access to everything. We want to give you the option of using our service before signing up so you can see the benefit it will bring to your company. You don’t need to add a credit card until you are ready or after the 14 days are completed.

5- We all want our website or product to get found. What are the recent trends in Marketing Optimization?
In e-commerce having people find and come to your website is one thing. Converting that traffic into sales is completely different. Many people think if enough people visit my website than I am bound to get sales however they will quickly find that it simply doesn’t work that way. According to a study done by Bronto, 59% of shoppers with weekly purchases find cart reminder emails helpful. People expect that when they do the action of signing up to get promotional emails that the website will send them a welcome email, most likely with a promotion. If they create a cart and abandon it they expect to get an email seeing if they are interested in completing their purchase because the large companies have taught them that this is what good companies do because it makes the customer’s life easier. Now that people are used to this type of marketing they are okay with websites offering them products they are likely interested in, reminders of what they recently browsed and emails that have great promotions on products they are interested in. If your website isn’t doing this, your viewers are much less likely to shop because they have to do all of the work to find what they want and to get a good deal. Getting the first sale doesn’t mean the end of the road with the gain of a lifetime customer either. But there is nothing to worry about because we, at A.Hi, built tools to help with that as well.

6- What are some things that most people don’t know about your job?
At my day job, being a web developer, I get to see everything that goes on with marketing because I build most of it. While there are some, not electronic marketing campaigns like direct mailing I make reports that track how successful the direct mailing campaigns are. Getting to be a part of everything that goes on, in a company that continually achieves higher revenue each month lets me see what building a successful e-commerce company looks like. One of the most fulfilling parts of working at A.Hi is hearing great feedback from our customers. Whether it’s the achievement of a goal or improvements that could be made I enjoy interacting with our customers. Everyone has a great story and challenges that they face and overcome every day. Getting to see and hear about the companies that use A.Hi tools in order to achieve their goals is the most gratifying part of what I do.
7- What tips would you give to anybody who is looking to get started a business in the marketing field?
Marketing isn’t a one size fits all type of job. There are many different types of marking and knowing what type you are and who needs it is very important. It usually starts out completely as trial and error until you learn how to measure your efforts. In the beginning, no idea was a bad one until it had been attempted. However, once we began to get customers we started to figure out things they had in common and shifted our efforts towards them. Like most great things, it takes time to build but the good news is no matter what type of marketing you are in, chances are there is someone who needs it.

8- And what were some of the biggest challenges you encountered personally?
My biggest challenge is getting A.Hi out of obscurity. Most people I talk to know that they need action to reaction marketing. They see that all of the major e-commerce companies have it but the barrier to entry for this type of software is always too great. It takes a team of developers months or years to develop and once it is developed usually it will then need to be maintained which costs even more money. Most entrepreneurs don’t have the budget of major companies to spend even though they know it will drive up sales. We offer this great service and much more at a price most companies can afford. But if people don’t know they can’t get it and will lose out to the companies that do.

9- What are you most excited about at the moment?
Right now, I am most excited about the companies and people we will get to meet, help, and work with. The barrier to entry for services and software that connects you on a deeper level with your customers is no longer only reserved for the companies with millions in their budget. We will continue to work to bring you great tools that connect you and your brand to your customers and grow your business. It is gratifying to make a difference and I strive to help you achieve your goals. And when you do, I would love to hear about it.
