1- Hello Aman, can you please tell us a bit about you?
I am a free-spirited person, an introvert with a good eye for detail. I love traveling and reading Fiction Novels and tech articles. I believe in trusting the goodness inside everyone you meet, and not judge anyone on the basis of a random incident. I believe in following your passion in the right way, to contribute towards the development and grow as a society. I absolutely love sports like Tennis and Football, and always find time to watch them.

2- What are your focus areas and why?
I always believed in the power of the internet, and how it can make or break our society and generations to come. So I wanted to build a product or service, that would enable us to use this power of the internet to not only improve our lives and the people around us but also use it for the good of the world and all our future generations. So when I founded FirstFate, I saw many of the online platforms were failing to deliver on one important thing – honest, unbiased opinions. Whatever you read on it, be it articles written as clickbait or comments by users which are skewed either towards the general opinion or the entire opposite, very black and white kind of a scenario. So I wanted to build a platform where users would be able to get unbiased opinions and first reactions, and then having a good, healthy discussion about their opinions, without having to hide one’s true self just to blend it and look cool, or what not. Internet and its most significant use case, Social Media, is a great tool to reach people living on the opposite side of the globe, who share your interests and actually enable you to grow mutually, in a positive way.

3- How do you describe “FirstFate” in few words?
FirstFate is about discovering the best social experience and using that, to improve your life and the people around you. If we manage to do that, the world would be a great place and we, at FirstFate, are doing our bit towards achieving that dream.

FirstFate is about using technology and your network across continents, to deliver value to your life, share happy and sad moments together and use this extraordinary power for your ultimate goal. Be your aim to share or stumble upon your happy moments wherever you go, or to travel to amazing places in the world, or use your social influence to achieve your goals, or to improve your business so as to benefit you, your stakeholders and your community, we provide a platform to do just that. Now it is up to the users to use it in the manner they see it fit, and we will continue to deliver on our promise to make a great social platform.

4- Where do you think your work is making an impact?
I think we are getting more and more people in realizing how the social media can be used for the good, rather than just propagating false information to bring down the good pillars on which our society stands. Users are now valuing honest opinions and first reactions, depending and trusting people around the globe even for a personal dilemma and using our platform to achieve happiness and success in their life. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a long road ahead and we are just getting started. But we are so happy to be able to get people to commit to using social media for their benefits rather than clichés like stalking and trolling.

5- How did you build up an entrepreneurial spirit, do you believe you were born with it or you developed it?
This one is tricky. I wasn’t born with it, or if I did, I don’t think I ever channeled that entirely. Ever since I was in school and then in college, I had this passion of doing things that made me feel good, whether it is executing all these ideas that you have in your head or helping out others in achieving their targets. Internet had just begun in those days, and I would read all these success stories of how people with their hard work and innovation, built groundbreaking and even life-changing products and services, and I knew that it was something I wanted to do as well, not just for me but for everyone around me. So that’s when I decided that I would work towards my dream and my ideas, and see where it takes me. Straight out of my post-graduation in Marketing and Finance, I established my own company and never looked back, I guess.

I think being an entrepreneur is having the ability to take calculated risks and measuring it towards your success checkpoints, and if one has that, they can do great things when they set their mind to it, and I did just that.

6- Tell us about your style?
I believe in smart work and hard work depending on the situation. I believe in people and their talents, and give them liberty in making decisions regarding their work, so that they can apply themselves and deliver to the best of their capabilities. I don’t really think myself as someone who micromanages every task, but yes, I do keep a check on everything, everyone who is working in the company, is doing and perhaps figure out if I can help out in some way for them to reach their potential faster. Speaking from experience, having done my graduation in computer engineering, I love to code and have actually written most of the codes of the app by myself, because, at that, I figured I knew the best way to bring out the ideas in my head. Sure, now others can build upon it through their innovation, and that’s how we all learn to be best at what we do.

7- Do you think your mindset has anything to do with success?
Yes, to a certain extent. I firmly believe that you cannot objectively define success. It evolves as we reach our goals, and we strive for more, to improve and the kind of vision you have. I remember days when I did most of the coding of our app by myself because I knew I had to achieve what was going on in my mind, implementing the ideas in the right way. And when I did that after many days of hard work, that was a success for me. Then I moved on to the next task and started going towards achieving that. Perhaps you can say it is about my mindset, that I always try to improve and work upon what I have achieved so far, learn from my mistakes and build a better solution for the task at hand. That has certainly contributed towards success, with a bit of luck going towards my side as well. (laughs).

8- If you could turn the time, what would you love to do in regards to change FirstFate?
I won’t really change anything about FirstFate and all we have done to build our strong community, but perhaps in retrospection, we probably should have more actively tried to build our community, rather than let word of mouth do its thing. The reason behind it is simple – the stronger and more involved users are on our platform, the better will be their entire social experience, which has been our aim for the beginning. Other than that, I personally am happy with what we have achieved so far and our journey has only just begun. There are still miles to go, and we are surely committed to moving ahead one step at a time.

9- What are you most excited about at the moment?
I am really looking forward to how FirstFate grows on a global scale, after the launch of our two new features – Augmented Reality TimeLoop Moments and Lookies. Not only I think these concepts are extremely new, but also it would help our users around the world, in having a better social experience and even using social media to improve their lives and getting happiness out of it. These two features, when I was developing them in my mind, I was so excited that I couldn’t wait to try them out. I think that was the most excited I have been in the past year, and now when these are out for the world to see and use, I want to share this excitement with them.

10- The last word or final thoughts?
You get one chance at life and you need to make the most of it. Just follow your dreams and see how well it works for you. But always remember there’s no substitute for hard work. It’s a competitive world out there, and if you have to reach your goal, we have to work hard, smart and do things innovatively to achieve it. And no matter what anyone says, you know what happiness looks like and how much it means to you, and you should never let your job get in the way of it. Ever feel the need to talk?
