Interview with Ashley Macklin, Marketing & Sales Consultant

1- Hello Ashley, can you please tell us a bit about yourself?
I’m an online sales and marketing consultant. Primarily I help with campaigns in the real estate and entertainment space but I have clients in other areas too.
Basically, I help my clients create branding material and the ad campaigns/sales funnels around that material.

2- What are your focus areas and why?
I just focus on everything marketing. Because you can’t be in one tiny niche of digital marketing and not learn about other practices… Copywriting, design, development etc. all feed into one overarching idea, which is… Creating a brand and getting more people to buy your products.

3- How did you get started in Digital Marketing?
I had a few friends with their own websites and making money. So I found a good Canadian web hosting provider and set up my own website.
Then I started selling products and did it pretty well – so I decide to try to scale up and begin helping people market for a living.

4- Where do you think you are making an impact?
Helping people make better money. Enabling clients to reach new income thresholds is important for me.

5- What are some things that most people don’t know about your company?
A lot! I’m not an influencer by any means and have a tight-knit group of clients. If you want to know anything about me just reach out.

6- The digital marketing industry is ever changing, where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
Learning new concepts. New ways to market, new platforms, new campaigns etc. Staying ahead of the curve and finding better ways to do things.

7- What were some of the biggest challenges you encountered while getting started in your new career?
Finding good service providers (for me that was hosting specifically) is really important. You need to trust who you’re doing business with.

8- Can share with us any client’s success story that can inspire our entrepreneurs?
There are many successes to talk about… I love personal success, where people learn to have self-confidence and make breakthroughs that way. But if you’re talking dollars, I helped a client go from part-time freelancer to a six-figure year.

9- What are you most excited about at the moment?
Helping more people make more money.
