Interview with Darren Pawski, Managing Director at Synergy Financial Solutions

1. Hello Darren, can you please tell us a bit about yourself?
As managing director of Synergy Financial Solutions, my professional role is to assist our clients in developing a sound and all-encompassing financial plan. I’ve been involved in the financial services industry for just shy of 30 years now, and I consider myself quite fortunate to have worked with some of the most prominent firms in the finance industry. I am fond of community service and volunteering, and over the years I have also enjoyed extensive international travel.

2. What are your business focus areas and why?
Synergy Financial Solutions is a boutique financial services firm, so my business focus areas are firmly rooted in helping clients achieve their specific short- and long-term goals through comprehensive financial planning and management.

3. How do you describe “Synergy Financial Solutions” in few words?
As a boutique financial services firm, Synergy Financial Solutions provides highly personalized financial planning and management services while also striving to empower our clients through educational opportunities.

4. Where do you think you are making an impact?
Instilling a sense of financial stability and long-term security for our clients is exceptionally impactful, as it enables them to feel confident in pursuing their loftiest personal goals, whatever they may be.

5. What are some things that most people don’t know about your job?
The financial services industry is inherently complex, and few people understand the more complicated aspects of the profession. Most people also don’t realize how much of my time outside of the office is devoted to creating personalized financial planning strategies for clients.

6. Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
I hope that Synergy Financial Services will have grown at a modest rate so that we are able to offer highly personalized services to a larger base of clients without having to sacrifice the quality of the individualized services we provide.

7. What were some of the biggest challenges you encountered while working on The “Synergy Financial Solutions”?
The biggest challenge I personally encountered had to do with striking an ideal work/life balance. I have a tendency to so thoroughly commit to a responsibility that it becomes my singular focus unless I consciously strive to maintain an appropriate balance between my personal and my professional responsibilities.

8. What can you tell to young people who are pursuing their dreams?
Education does not end when you enter the workforce, and the best professionals are often those who remain deeply committed to seeking out new educational opportunities whenever possible.

9. What are you most excited about at the moment?
I’m always excited at the prospect of meeting new clients to begin working on a financial plan, and I certainly look forward to reviewing the progress of the plans we have put in place for our existing clients as well.

10. The last Word or final thoughts?
I’d just like to add that every professional’s focus — regardless of their specific industry — should always return to the needs of the consumer. I work very hard for my clients, and I believe that this is the central reason I have enjoyed such a lengthy and successful career.
