“Make sure that everybody in your boat is rowing and not drilling holes when you’re not looking.”
1- Hello Dom, can you please tell us a bit about yourself?
Hi! Well, I am often being called a female IT geek 🙂 The things I’m into will often be considered typically masculine – I strongly disagree, though. Anyone can find themselves fascinated with computers, technology, quantum physics or neuroscience which is yet another subject I’m fond of. I run a Brand Consultancy and Creative Agency – Intermedia Global Team, based in the UK. We deliver top notch website design and website creator services to our clients.
2- What are your focus areas and why?
We want to help our customers by providing a tool that allows them to establish an online presence and create a brand, which doesn’t need to be as hard and expensive as they might assume. Ultimately, we want to demonstrate to everyone that their individual potential and talent is enough to succeed as long as they set their goals and concentrate on them. I think it’s important because many people are not aware of their own unused potential, and our mission is to help them to achieve their goals in terms of establishing your business and online presence, no matter how distant and inaccessible they seem. You don’t become successful overnight, it’s a long-term process obviously, but the first step is the hardest one to take. It’s all about making a decision and sticking to it.
3- What influences your song work? What makes you want to wake up every morning?
I enjoy life and I want to incorporate my passion into my work. What motivates me most is when I see the results of my effort. A positive feedback from a client is a huge motivator that always keeps me going. I truly believe anything is possible, it’s just a matter of time. I hope to inspire others with my enthusiasm and attitude, if I manage to inspire even one future artist or entrepreneur, it will be worth it 🙂
4- Where do you think you are making an impact?
I am a living proof myself you can start in business, even if you build up from scratch with no budget and investors whatsoever. I’m often told my enthusiasm is contagious and my professional endeavors inspire others to pursue their own dreams 🙂 I am not a fan of passive motivational speaking, though. I take action myself and maintain my own determination before giving any advice to others. Your will, conviction, and confidence are essential to start. As soon as you have those, all you need to do is outline a particular plan of action.
5- Can you share with us more about “Intermedia Global Team”?
Of course. We are a brand consultancy and website design agency with the headquarters in London, UK. Although 70% of our team works remotely and is spread in various countries. Well organized structure, heavily relying on the highest quality online conferencing tools, allows our team to stay effective. Each of us has different talents and specializations, so we put our very best assets together and collaborate conveniently. We support creative minds who have concrete ideas that they want to bring to life. In today’s day and age, they really need online exposure to share their ideas with the world, which is exactly what our company will provide.
6- Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
That’s a pretty tough question, not because I don’t make distant plans, but because technology has been developing incredibly fast and it’s hard to predict where we will all end up in 5 years, and what we will be capable of. The future seems exciting, considering the rapid scientific and technological progress, for example, artificial intelligence, which, in my opinion, is also a truly fascinating discipline. The knowledge on the nervous system (Neuroscience) can also prove to be useful in many different fields. I can’t wait to see what happens, and what I know for sure is that I will do my best to utilize all the available tools to improve my services.
7-What are some things that most people don’t know about your job?
I started from scratch. I was working remotely, wearing my PJs, trying to figure out how I can combine 2 of my strongest skills: Fluent English and “general” IT knowledge J; there is still a long way ahead of me, though. Thanks to the Internet, (the best invention in the last 50 years by the way) I managed to gather a team of specialists, spread in various countries, being good at what they do; so we were able to join our forces and just go for it. Anyone can do what I have done. Although you need to remember that self-discipline is key, and you need to love what you do and be passionate about it; if you are, it will be much easier to dedicate yourself to it completely and put your energy and talent into it.
8- What can you tell young people who are pursuing their dreams?
Always surround yourself with people who are better than you. If you’re hanging around with bad people, they’re going to start bringing you down…but if you surround yourself with good people, they’re going to be pulling you up. And by “better” I mean those who have more experience and skills so that you can learn from them. Don’t compare yourself to them too much though, because the point is to be true to who you are and to be a better version of yourself day by day. Also, remember to make sure that everybody in your boat is rowing and not drilling holes when you’re not looking.
9- What are you most excited about at the moment?
In general, I can’t wait to see what happens in the future in terms of technological development. As for myself, everything has been changing so quickly in my life that it’s really difficult to foresee what’s next in store for me. I’m excited about everything that’s yet beyond my reach, and I’m willing to learn and use the newly-gained knowledge. I believe that my efforts will pay off, which is why I keep working to achieve the best possible results and, naturally, I’m looking forward to seeing them. In fact, every single small victory in my career has been exciting and motivating.
10- The last word or final thoughts?
When 99% of people doubt your idea, you’re either gravely wrong or about to make history.
