We are making the biggest impact in terms of making transparency into the diamond industry. People find our diamond guides on cut, certification, fluorescence etc. extremely helpful. We provide detailed explanation for each shape. When people buy diamonds from us, we go as far as showing them our cost of the diamond they buy for the sake of transparency.

The diamond filter page is the most dynamic aspect of our site. Through a comprehensive API we import diamonds from thousands of dealers on daily basis and make hundreds of thousand diamonds available on one single page. All you need to do is to put in the criteria in terms of the four Cs and the filter will automatically show the lowest priced diamonds in that range. The filter is updated every 4 hours for adding new stones as they become available in our network.

While we big plans for Petra Gems, we prefer to stay a medium-sized company where our priority will remain on client satisfaction and high-quality products at a competitive price range. We focus on a specific niche and do not find remaining small.

7- If you could turn the time, what would you love to change in regards to way you launched Petra Gems?

We keep changing the design and all major aspects of the site on annual basis simply because the technology keeps changing. Small factors like site speed makes a huge difference in online commerce, so we always must be on the cutting edge. While I would do everything differently what I also know is that I wouldn’t know all of that about the business without experimenting and trying.

8- What is the “one-word” advice you will give to our readers when it comes to succeeding and especially the ones who are just starting?

Just do it. However, make sure you spend enough time to identify the niche and how to go about it. It is important that you love what you start doing otherwise you won’t be able to stay in it for a long time. While it is up to you to make a quick buck, for me, it is always about the long term! Think big and think long term.

9- What are you most excited about at the moment?

Learning how to navigate social media and interest-based marketing is exciting, but it also is immensely complicated!
