1- Hello Dawn, can you please tell us a bit about you?

Thank you so much for this opportunity. My name is Dawn Airhart Witte (pronounced witty) and I am the proud mother of two amazing daughters. I am also the Founder and Director of The Desire to Inspire Foundation, the Be Line Products, a co-founder of The Be Tour, author, speaker, and humanitarian. I love LOVE and helping people live their happiest and most fulfilling lives is my highest calling.

2- What are your focus areas and why?

I am laser-focused on inspiring people to live lives full of purpose and fulfillment. I strongly believe that each of us has unique gifts and talents that, if cultivated and encouraged, can allow us to reach our highest and greatest potential, not only for ourselves but for the world. Could you imagine the change we would see in the world if everyone was living their happiest lives full of purpose and meaning? The highest teaching of nearly all religions and great philosophies are based on love and kindness. If I can spread more love and kindness into the world, then I feel I have lived into my highest calling. The quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson, “To know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived,” is the motto I live by.

3- How would you describe “Desire to Inspire” in a few words?

The Desire to Inspire Foundation was created to shine a spotlight on the very many people doing extraordinary work in the world to help others. Everyone has a story and I love to share those stories, Not only the stories of overcoming adversity but the stories of how people have used their greatest struggles to help them live lives of excellence and service.

4- Where do you think it is really making an impact?

Right now, we have projects in Ghana, Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, and Sierra Leone. We have directly impacted over 3000 children across the African continent alone. My hope is to impact as many people’s lives with love, kindness, and inspiration as possible all over the world.

5- Do you think integrity is an essential part of the game?

I believe in Karma and I think integrity is EVERYTHING. Our integrity is our calling card to the world. One of my favorite writings of Mother Teresa says, “If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you. Be honest and sincere anyway.” What we do and how we live our lives says everything about who WE are.

6- What advice would you give to young people just starting out and hoping to make it?

My best advice to anyone is to find your “WHY.” The best way to do that is to pay attention to the things that you love, the things you are passionate about, and the things that make you feel alive. All of those parts of your being give you hints about your highest calling. For me it was love.

I knew that I knew how to love people and helping others brings me great fulfillment. Turning my gifts into something that could change the world gives me a drive that no challenge can be greater than.

7- Do you find as an entrepreneur, that you enjoy the challenge of the industry being complex with the game rules are always changing?

Rules? I think you lost me there. Kidding. A little. I believe in following rules but I also believe that life is meant to be lived outside of a box of preconceived notions. We are all on our very own path and no “one size fits all” is part of the program. Forging our own way and creating our own path is what we are all put here to do.

I recently read a post that said, “Life is the most difficult exam…many people fail because they try to copy others, not realizing that everyone has a different paper.” Amen!!!!

8- If you could turn the time, what would you love to change in regards to your career?

I don’t wish time away nor do I look back at things in my life as regretful. I don’t wish to live with regrets rather learning experiences. I believe that everything that has happened in my life has brought me to this point in my life and even despite some of the heartbreak and struggle, it all made me who I am today.

9- What are you most excited about at the moment?

I am super excited about our new BE… skincare and fragrance line that we are launching in September. We are using the amazing ingredients of Africa to not only develop products that people will love but help create jobs where they are needed the most. Helping people use their own unique gifts and talents in the world to help themselves and others is my own personal highest calling.

10- The last word or final thoughts?

Thank you so much for the opportunity to share my thoughts and projects with you. I love sharing what living a life of purpose on purpose can look like. Sharing my experiences steeped in love, kindness, gratitude, strength, inspiration, happiness, and being genuine with others gives me such tremendous fulfillment.

These are words that have significantly shaped how I choose to live my life and the rewards have been magically beautiful. My greatest hope is to inspire someone to live their lives to their highest calling. That is where the most beautiful and powerful magic lies.
