1- Hello Eric, can you please tell us a bit about yourself?
I am person who loves to travel. I love it so much, that I am a professional traveler. I travel across America blogging and writing about maximizing travel opportunities by collecting hotel points and airline miles. My goal is to travel on average 350 days a year.
2- What are your focus areas and why?
I focus my writing on credit card arbitrage. Which is a fancy way of saying finding good deals that credit card companies create as they fight for customer market share. Credit card companies are so desperate for your business that they create these very unique opportunities and even the average person can get an outstanding opportunity to maximize their dollars, points, and miles for those dream vacations.
3- Can you tell us about “Average Joe Arbitrage”?
Average Joe Arbitrage came about from my desire to share these unique opportunities that I find and to help others understand they don’t have to be an average traveler or an average anything!
4- Where do you think you are making an impact?
I am helping people become more informed and better travelers! When people take advantage of the opportunities I present and they find that they can make extra money, travel anywhere in the world and live a better life overall.
5- What were some of the biggest challenges you encountered while working on “Average Joe Arbitrage”?
6- Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
On a beach, in a hammock, with a fruity drink at my side, while I type away telling my stories of great travel opportunities!
7- What are some things that most people don’t know about your job?
You can live your dreams! If you want to travel, find a job that pays you to travel! However, most of us are so corralled into the status-quo, 9-5 lifestyle that we forget to seek out these unique opportunities and to live for ourselves!
8- What can you tell young people who are pursuing their dreams?
Stay away from debt! Debt is an albatross that will forever haunt you and slow you down while you chase your dreams.
9- What are you most excited about at the moment?
“Points for People!” I am using one credit card and with all the points I accrue with that one specific card, I will use those points to donate back to worthy causes, I call it my “Points for People Campaign.” I am challenging others to give back and to make a difference by using some of their reward points in unique ways to make a difference in their local communities.
10- The last word or final thoughts?
Travel while you can and as much as you can. It will make you a far better person than you ever thought possible!
