1. Hello Gaurav, can you please tell us a bit about yourself?
Hi, I’m Gaurav Gulati, Author Brand Building & Brand Engagement Consultant
My mission in life is to help individuals and businesses become head turning-brand, using the quickest, most efficient path possible. I have had my own global practice since 2010; have worked for the biggest clients in the world ranging Artists, Authors, Models, Entertainers, Politicians, Professionals, CEOs, Top Management, Businesses and Organizations.

2. What are your focus areas and why?
My focus is to build new brands and reinvigorates existing ones, bringing them to life across a range of touchpoints. I work with both freshers to celebrities and start-ups to multinationals in just about every sector. In nutshell, I love brands because brands make the world one and make the world go round.
Why? Because I believe the brand is a most important and sustainable asset of any individual, business or organization, it is what drives engagement and builds relations.

3. How do you describe “Indian Authors Association” in few words?
Indian Authors Association is India’s first inclusive association dedicated to promoting authors, poets, scriptwriters and lyricists around the world. Our mission is to promote, support, encourage and empower authors, and ensure that their work reaches a wider diverse audience.

4. Where do you think you are making an impact?
I combine traditional mentoring with brand consulting and brand building. It’s a powerful effective & proven combination.

5. What are some things that most people don’t know about your job as a Brand Builder?
Most people don’t know the brand building is not just about creating the brand, it’s about driving brand engagement and building connections. For me, brand engagement is the priority.

6. The market is very changing, where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
Yes, markets are changing really fast and people finally started understanding the importance of building a personal brand, and in next 5 years, I see myself building personal brands bigger than Paris Hilton, Lady Gaga, Trump etc.

7. What can you tell to young authors who are pursuing their dreams?
Listen to the criticisms and preferences to improve not to kill real you, write what you feel.

8. What are you most excited about at the moment?
At the moment, I am very excited about my upcoming personal branding book “I’m a brand”
This book is filled with must-read industry knowledge; this book walks you from your idea through the entire process of building your own personal brand.

9. The last word or final thoughts?
Personal branding is for everyone. No matter who you are, and what you do to live, it is important for you to build your brand, because if you don’t build your brand, someone will hire you to build theirs.
