1- Hello Marcus, can you tell us a bit about yourself
Sure! I’m from Sweden, an avid golfer, a technology enthusiast and an entrepreneur in the web hosting industry, where I set out to create a brand that would differentiate itself from a very saturated market. I’m also a huge fan of ice hockey (Let’s go Rangers!).
2- How would you describe “MightWeb” in under few words?
“Honest, caring and humble” are the key words that our brand is built around, and I think that’s also the most accurate description there is!
3- What are your focus areas and why?
Our focus has always been to deliver a product that not only meets but exceeds what our clients expect of us. We have a strict policy to never compromise on quality. Our focus area has and always will be to maintain a superb customer approval rating – and we continue to do this by transparency and listening to customer feedback.
4- Where do you think you are making an impact?
This industry is tough. It’s a saturated market – but what is very apparent is that quality is difficult to find. It’s an industry that is cheap and easy to get involved in, but difficult and costly to compete and deliver in. I personally find that many take shortcuts – something we avoid. We try to set a standard of how a provider-client relationship should be – and that’s where I think our biggest impact is made.
5- What are some things that most people don’t know about your job?
Oh, that’s a tough one! From the outside, most of what people see from us is customer service – but there’s a lot more going on behind the scenes. Everything from our internal daily talks on what to focus on as a company (planning), to maintaining servers and ensuring they run smoothly, to partner contacts and software development. Most of these things are part of operating a business in really any technology industry – but they’re not very apparent from the outside!
6- The Entrepreneurship world is very changing, where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
In five years, I see our company as a stronger opponent in the market. I see us creating more jobs in the states, and I see us being in a position where we can effectively motivate the market to make changes that build and improves the reputation of the industry as a whole. That’s a bold statement – but that’s definitely one of our long-term goals.
7- What were some of the biggest challenges you encountered as an Entrepreneur?
I think this holds true for any entrepreneur – but the start was very difficult. Building a business takes a lot of planning, and as you start, you’re often alone (as was I). In a business where you need to be available around the clock, this resulted in many sleepless nights! That was tough but also very enjoyable. You get to see the business grow, and every little thing is that much bigger as you’re starting out.
8- What are you most excited about at the moment?
We’ve actually just expanded upon one of our existing product lineups (Virtual Private Servers) to add another virtualization option. This is the culmination of months of work, and has had its challenges! Now that’s it’s done however, it’s no doubt something I’m really excited about – and something we’ve received much positive feedback on!
9- What can you tell to young entrepreneurs that are about to start?
If you have a vision for something, and you really believe you can make a long-term difference – then never hesitate! The results of your work are very rarely instant – it can take months or years before you see them – but if you believe in your idea, then you’re able to convince others to believe in it too!
10- A last Word or final thoughts?
I figure I should thank you for the interview, and for the content you produce! It’s a much enjoyable read!
