4- Where do you think you are making an impact?
As previously stated, I believe that the world runs on music, without it, we would not have survived this long. Music can motivate people, make them happy, and get people through tough situations. There are billions of musicians out there with amazing talent, I think everyone deserves a shot, and I help make that happen. I believe I contribute to keeping the world turning.

5- What are some things that most people don’t know about your job as a professional mixing and mastering Engineer?
Most people don’t understand why it’s important to have a professional mix and master their music. After working on countless songs and albums, mixing engineers develop an acute sense of sonic and musical knowledge that is key to successful mixing and mastering. It’s also a huge plus that the engineer wasn‘t there when you recorded your material. Hearing your songs for the first time, a fresh pair of ears can offer truly objective advice. It’s also rare to develop “pro” ears.

6- The market is very changing, where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
With the music industry slowly transitioning from mostly analogue to digital, big fancy music studios are slowly becoming obsolete and home studios are the next big thing.
This gives the artist the flexibility to record in their own home, whenever they want, cutting out high costs for studio time and letting them make their music in their own comfort zone. I only see this industry becoming more popular and will someday be the new standard. Technology is expanding at an accelerated rate, they are trying to get robots to replace engineers, but that’s just setting up failure because there is nothing that can replace the human ear. With that said, in 5 years I still see myself being an engineer and helping artists succeed in the music industry.

7- What were some of the biggest challenges you encountered while working on “Mikes Mix & Master”?
One major challenge was competition. When I first started there were very few other companies providing the same services, as online mixing and mastering became more popular, hundreds of websites appeared, some by engineers with
absolutely no experience. I’ve been copied countless times, ripped off and been in many other sour situations due to competition, it becomes difficult to keep up, but the name I’ve built, my clientele and unique quality makes it easier for me to humbly remain on top 😉

8- What can you tell to young people who are pursuing their dreams?
Learn to accept failure and make courageous decisions, life is about just doing it! we learn from our mistakes, remember, failure isn’t failure unless you don’t learn from it. Don’t rush, determination and being patient is key. Make goals and work hard towards achieving them.

9- What are you most excited about at the moment?
My next project 😉

10- The last word or final thoughts?
I appreciate you having me, I hope I was able to shed some light on Online Mixing & Mastering as well as on myself for those interested =)
