1- Hello Osman, can you please tell us a bit about yourself?
Hi and thank you for the interview. It is a great pleasure to give you an interview, especially with professional guys like you. My name is Osman Acar and I am 32. I have been in the translation business for over 6 years and I have worked for both government and private companies. In 2017 my former colleagues and I decided to set up our own translation company.

2- What are your focus areas and why?
Apps to translate is a professional translation service which only focuses on the translation of applications/games in App Store, Google Store and Windows Store. As of 3 March 2017 we support 6 major languages worldwide: English, Chinese, Russian, Arabic, German and Turkish.

You may ask, why do people need your service when there is Google Translate, Yandex Translate and Bing Translate? Well, as you already know, machine translations always contain glaring syntax and grammatical errors in translation. I saw some applications in store for example, they used online translation services or maybe they translated their text by non-professional personnel, and the mistakes were all too obvious, which makes the app developer unappealing and it also looks unprofessional. People read the app description before installing the app and these app descriptions are often the most important part of the apps.

3- How do you describe “Apps2translate” in few words?
A professional service, valued customers, the best translation service and simple pricing. And yes, as always customer comes first!

4- Where do you think you are making an impact?
Unlike many translation services, we have a very simple pricing policy. You know how much will it cost before you order, and there are absolutely no extra or hidden fees. Other translation services ask people to send in the job, they check it and give a quote. And they give the price not according to the job, they give the price according to customer. For all of our customers are valued and we have VIP support for every service that we offer.
And of course delivery times, for example, for our standard package (which is the best option and the most popular) our delivery time is not more than 4 business days. We always keep in touch with our customers.
The biggest impact: we accept the payments via credit card or through wire transfers! And once we deliver the job we send the invoice. If our customer needs a hard copy of the invoice we send it via post to any country in the world.
We take our job very seriously and we work according to strict laws.

5- What are some things that most people don’t know about your job?
As I mentioned before we only support 6 languages because we are a translation team of 6 people. We have 3 offices which are in Turkey, the UK and United Arab Emirates, in Dubai.
We don’t use freelancers for our translation services. Of course I can tell my customers for example that we support 25 languages but that will not be OK to deliver the best service. In the modern world everyone can be a translator but not every translator can deliver the best service. In our office all of our employees are certificated for translation service. We are a team of professionals and we deliver a professional service.
And we are also currently looking for partnerships from Korea and Japan. That means in near future we will translate even more languages.

6- Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
By the word “you” I take it as our company, With hard work and dedication in 5 years we aim to be the top application translation service in the industry. Good advertising and customer relations are crucial. Also once people see how organized we work, I am certain they will tell their friends/families about our service. Satisfied customers and the best reputation in the business are crucial to our development strategy.

7- What were some of the biggest challenges you encountered while working on “Apps2translate”?
One of the most difficult challenges so far was in translating a medical app about cancer, which contained lots of very detailed technical language and complex medical terms. Our team spent 2 days on the literature review before we could complete it! However the customer was very satisfied with the results.

8- What can you tell young people who are pursuing their dreams?
Simple: Don’t do it if you are not the best in the business!

9- What are you most excited about at the moment?
Growing our business worldwide and also that feeling when we get glowing testimonials from our customers.

10- The last word or final thoughts?
Again, thank you for the interview. We want to give an offer for your readers. We are offering free translation of app description which is worth $9,99! Once they tweet about by tagging us we will contact them and give them the details. Also they can like our page on Facebook and share our page in their wall. This offer valid until 31 march 2017 – and yes it is totally free!
