1- Hello Erika & Abi, can you please introduce yourselves?

Hello! We are a two-person team and a couple with a passion for unlocking the value of rural vacant land. During the day, Erika works in real estate finance and Abi works in software development.

8- If you could turn back time, what would you change about the way you launched Gokce Capital?

We would have started our YouTube presence earlier. We have found that the descriptive YouTube videos of our properties is what gives us an edge in the market. In addition, YouTube is a great way to market properties to buyers who are not local to the area and are looking for vacation homes, recreational properties or secluded lots close nature. We did not take full advantage of social media from day one and could have ramped up quicker if we had understood the full power of YouTube.

9- What is your advice to our readers when it comes to succeeding, especially the ones who are just starting?

Believe in the system – if you have a good model, stick with it. In our case, there is a huge demand for cash buyers of vacant rural land, and a big market for an affordable property.

Invest in marketing – you can have a great system, but you need to get your product or services out there. Sellers aren’t going to know about you unless you go to them and buyers aren’t going to buy from you unless you get your offerings out there.
