Endurance, the company behind big web brands including BigRock, HostGator and FatCow, announced on Monday it would take over Constant Contact in a deal evaluate at $1.1 billion in a try to expand their business activities beyond its traditional Web-hosting market.

The deal will add Constant Contact’s online marketing solutions such as events management, email marketing and social media integration to Endurance International’s services oriented toward small and medium-sized businesses; and is expected to close in the first quarter of 2016, but Constant Contact will stay a separate brand.

This deal is considered as very controversed one because of its value and especially that last Endurance acquisition of HostGator was not welcomed by the Hostgator clients. But let’s wait and see.
